Jared Tristan Padalecki While he was a senior at Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas, Jared Padalecki was named a candidate in the year 2000 Presidential Scholars Program. (Candidates were selected from nearly 2.8 million students expected to graduate from high schools in the year 2000.) But this was not his first brush with glory. Jared started taking acting lessons when he was twelve years old, and went on to enter and win the 1999 Claim to Fame contest, sponsored by the Teen Choice Awards and Niketown. After winning, he was pursued by talent and modeling agencies and is now represented by the same manager as Freddie Prinze Jr. After graduating from high school, Jared moved to Los Angeles, CA in hopes of furthering his acting career. He can currently be seen as Dean on Gilmore Girls and also co-stars in the independent feature A Little Inside. Biography thanks to GG.org |
